Below is the text from a message posted to the TRA message group by Kevin Trojanowski regarding the raffle being sponsored by the Tripoli Rocketry association. This raffle is to help raise funds to support TRA's legal efforts against BATF regulation. I plan on participating and so should everyone else. Besides, the prizes are really cool! ;)

The raffle is now officially open for business! The official web site
for the raffle can be found at https://www.sfsmindustries.com/raffle;
there will soon be a link to this site from the Tripoli site.

I'd like to thank the following individuals for donating the prizes for
this raffle:
Jim Ball, Yellow Jacket Launch Systems, Wasp mid-power launch
pad
Mike Fisher, Binder Design, Stealth rocket kit with 54mm motor
mount (hybrid ready!)
Ray Dunakin, mounted and matted aerial photo
Terry McCreary, "Experimental Composite Propellant"

Rules for the raffle are:

1) We hold one raffle a month, with 3 to 5 items per month.

2) You need not be a member of any particular organization to
participate.

3) We don't sell raffle tickets per se, but rather, for every $5 donated
to the Tripoli Legal Fund, a ticket is issued. Donations to other
organizations do not quality for entries.

4) Donations will be accepted via the mechanisms currently supported by
Tripoli. There is an online form, as well as the ability to mail a
check to HQ or the Treasurer, and the ability to FAX to the Treasurer.

5) A monthly cut-off date will exist. The money must be in the
Treasurer's hands by that date to get tickets issued for entry in that
month's drawing. Note that we'll need to make it plainly obvious that
when money is sent to HQ, it takes a period of time to be forwarded to
the Treasurer. If the donation arrives after the cut-off date, the
contributor will receive entries in the following raffle.

6) A web page will be maintained, with information on the items in the
monthly raffle, as well as some advertising provided to the donors. The
web page will contain all entry details, the cut-off date, etc.

7) The cut-off date will be at least 3 mailing days prior to the
drawing.

8) Every ticket will be issued a unique number. Numbering will be of
the format YYMM-NNNN, with YY being the last two digits of the year, MM
being the month number, and NNNN a 1 to 5 digit sequential number.
Donors will be notified of their ticket numbers via email only, to save
on mailing expenses for Tripoli. A complete list of tickets & numbers
will be available online.

9) The drawing will take place at a Tripoli club meeting or launch. The
tickets placed into the drawing will contain only numbers, and the
tickets will be drawn by a Tripoli member present who does not place the
tickets into the drawing container, and who does not have a list that
maps tickets to numbers.

10) The prizes will be listed on the web site in the order in which they
will be drawn. The item for which the ticket is being drawn will be
announced before the corresponding ticket is drawn.

11) The drawing will be certified by the Tripoli members present as
having been conducted in good faith and in accordance with these rules.

12) The winning names and numbers, as well as the names of those Tripoli
members who certify at the drawing, will be posted on the web site. The
winners for previous months, as well as the list of prizes, will be
available for subsequent months.

13) A minimum of 5 (five) Tripoli members, in good standing, must be
present for the drawing to be conducted.

14) On explicit written request of the donor, a donation may be spread
across multiple raffles. The request must explicitly state how the
entries are to be spread out. If the raffle is discontinued prior to
all entries being entered, the donation will not be refunded, and no
further compensation will be issued.

I don't know about anyone else, but I got my raffle tickets already! Keep in mind that you don't have to be a member of Tripoli to participate in this raffle. If you haven't looked at what the prizes are, you really need to take a look! For $5 you could win any of 4 prizes, some valued at over $100.

Below is the text from a message posted to the TRA message group by Kevin Trojanowski (reprinted with permission) regarding the raffle being sponsored by the Tripoli Rocketry association. This raffle is to help raise funds to support TRA's legal efforts against BATF regulation. I plan on participating and so should everyone else. Last month, there were only 19 participants and 41 total entries. Those are pretty good odds for winning some really cool prizes. Check out the link listed below and consider participating. ;)
