Altimiter

I'm just getting into mid power and am looking for suggestions on a good altimiter. Right now I just want to know how high my rockets are going. I won't get into electronic ejection and all that for a while yet. I'd like to keep the cost down to around $100-bucks or less. And I'd like to be able to read out the altitude on site without having to download the data into a pc or palm devise.
any suggestions?

Check out Adept Rocketry. They have some altimeter only solutions for less than $75.

i've seen places were you can make things with circuit boards. I like to make things with circuit boards.

you say that you would like to make a kit set type alt well
