Here's the pics of the final sanded tail cone. A little filler, some shaping work on the fins so they hug it tight and it'll be ready for some glass.

The only change I would make to the method we used would be on the spars.
I would make the fore end of the spars just a little wider so they overhang the body tube. Like this:
That would give the MMT a shelf so it wouldn't slide inside the body tube as easily. Mine slid in about 3/16" when I wasn't looking. I thought the epoxy had set up enough to hold it by then (NOT!).
