can someone point me towards plans for a homemade fin alignment jig?
thanks...

Cut something like this out of cardboard - circle (I usually cut a hexagon or an octogon) has diameter of body tube, fin slots are shorter than half span.

Works even for HPR rockets. Only problem is that you have to cut another "jig" for mostly every new rocket.

Nice job Mark. There's a lot of satisfaction to be had in building and then using such things.

I might be mistaken, but I think Estes used to make a small fin jig. It was plastic, adjustable for 3 or 4 fins, and could be used with just about any kit Estes was making.
