I'm looking for other ideas for fin material for some fins that would span 8" with a root of 6" (Trapazoidal).

I know of the classics:

Balsa
G10
Plywood

and 1 alternative:

Foam Board

any others?

Giant Leap is coming out with a new fin material within the next few weeks. From their site: "New aerospace composite material. More rigid than G-10, lighter than wood. 1/4" and 1/2" thickness soon available".

I plan to try some for my Big Brute upscale.
