I am working on an 81% scale Nike-Asp and it is very much scratchbuilt. In fact, I've even made my own tubing using honeycomb and carbon fiber and made my own nosecone by molding fiberglass. (I had to keep the rocket extremely light.)

John, EXCELLENT article!!! Wish I could have seen the sustainers maiden voyage! Great ideas, especially using honeycomb for keeping it strong, yet light. I can't wait to see your report on the first two-stage launch.
