Okay, here's the scoop on the carbon fiber (from this thread)...
Cost is $16/yard - shipping to me is going to end up being a little bit higher than initial estimates. Yes, I'm doing some rounding. It's costing me $15.75/yard, delivered. So I'm asking you to pay me a whopping $0.25 per yard to measure, cut, and package the stuff.
I will order between 1 and 3 rolls; it's 100 yards per roll. How many rolls I order will depend on the level of interest. It's first-come, first-served, and it's preorder only. Those who get money to me first are at the head of the line.
I will give folks until November 10th to have money to me; 10 yard ($160) increments. Based on how much money I've received by November 10th will determine how many rolls I order. If I don't have enough interest in the next incremental roll, those who got me money last will get their money refunded to them. It's working this way because I don't want to order 2 rolls of carbon fiber, then spend the next 15 months trying to get money from those who committed, then changed their minds...
Once I have the material on hand I will collect everyone's address and get them shipping quotes. I will wrap the material around a tube (likely PVC), but if you request me to do so, I will fold it. I'll hold your material for up to six months to allow you to get me the money to ship it. After six months, it's mine (I'm not storing stuff indefinitely).
You can send money via PayPal, cashier's check, money order, or personal check. Note that any form of payment will not be considered "received" until it clears the bank.
When you do send payment, please be sure to provide me your real name, your TRF username, and the amount of material you want.
Those sending via PayPal, that goes to troj-at-cox-dot-net, and it must be sent as a gift. Or, you have to add enough to cover the fees PayPal is going to hit me with (I have no margin to give on fees). Those who want to mail payment, send me a PM and I'll get you an address.
