I just finished building a couple of Estes rockets, the Hornet and Taser Twin. I sealed the balsa parts with Eze Dope and used a couple of different Enamel paints. The Testors is pretty good stuff but too expensive and the small cans don't last long. I used Testors for the Estes Hornet. For the Estes Taser Twin I used Wal Mart Colorplace white and black. Another good paint but takes way too long to dry and very much limited colors. The orange on the Taser Twin was Rustoleum Stop Rust, first time I have used this in years and went on pretty nice. I will use it on my next build for sure.

Looks like you did a great job on these 2! I like your colors on the Taser.

I lost my Estes Hornet a couple of summers ago. It was a great flier on Bs and Cs. I've got my Taser Twin ready for paint right now. I might borrow your colors, especially since I've already decided against anything metallic. I'm also a fan of the Rustoleum enamels - they seem to work well for me.
