NARHAMS is hosting a section meet, HQSM-45, on October 18, 2014 (rain date Oct. 25) at our Mt Airy, MD, launch site in conjunction with the monthly Sport Launch. Contest will run from 10am-4pm. All NAR members are invited to participate.
2 Events: Radio Controlled Glider that's right, any RC BG or RG can be used. Bring it!
Also A Streamer Duration
As a special provision, RC Glider will be flown with only one round instead of the usual three rounds. Contestants are welcome to practice-fly the event as much as they want before their official flight.
No entry fee.
Awards will be ribbons for first through fourth places and special awards for Best Novice performance in each event.

This started out as just a fun event to encourage anyone who has built (or started building) an RC rocket boosted glider to come out and fly. The club decided to sanction it as a Section Meet and we added A SD to fill out the Weighting Factors.
