I'm in need of some for conduit for a 2 stage rocket.
They need to be about 1/4" OD

Thanks

I get them as kite spars. Google "Into the Wind" for an decent online source.

Go into a decent Fishing store and see if they have any broken graphite fly rods, or the carbon hunting arrow.

Another good kite spar source is Goodwinds - their 'Clearance' items can sometimes be a very good deal:

(altho, I'm not sure why this application needs to be carbon -- be sure to also check out their fiberglass tubes (choice not so good right now, but I got some rather robust (i.e. heavier wall than normal) fiberglass tube earlier in the year - something like 0.400" dia x 0.080" wall x 48" long for $0.89 a piece). Bottom line, tho, consider fiberglass - here or at Into the Wind.)

I believe that brake conduit from your local auto supply store will suffice as well.

Brake line works great, but kinda heavy. Can save an ounce or two with CF. I know, that's less than 1% of a 7 lb rocket, but if you are into saving weight it's pretty low hanging fruit.
