Yep, Julie made it and had it to me in a matter of 4 or 5 days. 84"

Yeah, I hear ya...
I ordered an in stock chute from her and had it like 3 days.....
She's quick,,,, no doubt....................

That one's a super nice one though....

+1 on Julie from Spherachutes!

And as far as quality goes from Julie, I had my Patriot (4" Madcow cardboard) go in the trees (about 35ft up) right after the Archer flight. G-Dog and I were literally Hanging from the shock cord trying to pull it down, finally the tree gave way before anything else did. The Chute? Not a single tear, rip or stitch pulled! I was figuring on losing the chute. I wrote her and told her the story and she added it to the website under testimonials!

David,
I wouldn't expect anything less from you....
That really is very nice of you....
I'm telling you from personal experience,,,
she appreciated your going to the trouble of doing that very much....
I genuinely believe EVERYONE that makes something with their own two hands, takes great pride in whatever they're making,,,
And they just live for those comments.........
I was blown away when I saw Julie's chutes for the first time.......
I can only hope she's reading this.........

Teddy

And it goes without saying that your harnesses are top notch as well Teddy!!
Should have another order coming soon. Time to replace more nylon straps with kevlar!

Just noticed this thread, Dave... fantastic project and flight!! Congrats to you.
I'm making plans to come to Potter next year. Bring this rocket!

Man, are you gonna get one heck of a handshake...lol
I am very glad to hear that Jim...
I know it's quite a distance for you...
I hope all is well after the trying time you went through out there...
Always Jim,,,
If I can ever help in any way........ Just shout........

Thank you as always David....
I like the Tubular Nylon material......
You just have to protect it really well.....

Teddy

Jim, Thanks! It was a fun project and build. Altimeters performed great as always! (All my altimeters in all my rockets are MW btw!)
I'll see what I can do about getting up there next year, Be great to get up there and meet you and everyone up north!
And Teddy, we are still waiting for the crops to dry out so Tommy can harvest, so still no dates for winter Red Glare.

Luckily I'm not married to My "boss" and she loves coming to rocket launches, so she may wind up coming with me!

Edit: Just spoke to her, YES, she wants to go! Now all I need is a trailer!

Room Booked! Looks like we are going to LDRS! (Lakeview room too!)

I am so fortunate...
My wife sandy comes with me to these launches...
She enjoys all of the camaraderie
as well as all of the cool flights...

Yep! Well like I said, Hollie has been to 3 or 4, maybe 5 launches including Red Glare and loves it, me Ex never once went to any of them, hence, she's an Ex!!!

Jim, All arrangements have been made. Last thing on my list is picking up and equipping my trailer.
I will be sharing spot A15 with G-Dog front left row. Most of us MDRA members are all up there.
Cant wait to meet you and see Teddy again!

I am so psyched...........
I just can not wait for this launch...........
I' don't know what I like more--
all of the flyin or all of the laughin and joking with everybody..

Teddy

Well as we all know, most launches should have a sign at the entrance with a bucket that says "Leave Feelings Here!"
Just like at MDRA, we always say you're not truly a member until either Bob or Neil has mispronounced your name or your rockets name!

Another Spectacular flight and recovery of the Archer at LDRS 34 on an L730 Classic.
