I flew an I 1299 for the first time today on a 4" rocket that weighed about 6 lbs.
The flight was great except: no deployment from my brand new SL-100.
Has anyone had similar problems with this combo?

It's as if it never armed. It was still beeping 3 beeps.

Jeff, That bird was pulling some 50G's. I have had the same thing happen to my ARTS when I flew a sledgehammer motor.
The ARTS lost power momentarily (9V battery connector lost contact during that enormous jolt or something) but Erik designed it so it
would still come back online and continue working and deploying apogee and main properly. However, the data would be lost and
it would give three beeps after it landed like it was waiting for liftoff...

Update:

I flew the same altimeter in the same rocket; 4.0" x 68" (~6 lbs loaded)
on an I 357-M to 1,234 ft with perfect recovery!
It landed within 50 yards of the pad.

For this flight I made the following changes:
switched to a Duracell 9 volt and changed the wire used to arm the altimeter to 22 gauge stranded wire.
