List of major ( regional) launchs

I'm looking for a more complete list of the big launches around the country.
Here are some I have so far:

Red Glare - April, Nov.
Thunderstruck-April 4-6-Indiana
Airfest - Aug30-2- Argonia
Distant thunder - Nov -argonia
MWP -end Oct.-Princeton IL
Desert Heat -March 29-30
GRITS Feb 21-south GA
SARA- ?
LDRS - mid July
NERRF -6-19-14 - N Y
URRF -6-27 NY
plaster blaster- Nov. San Diego
fire in the sky - end May Wash.
Freedom - S. C. - labor day

Please add any others.

ROCstock in So cal is the second Weekend in June and November. From what I hear it is one of the largest(by attendance) launches in the country. 1000-1500 average.

Plaster Blaster will be very different than what you might be thinking of. TSD lost their waiver a year ago and they are deeming this years Laster Blaster with minimal High Power available. But things are still changing with that.

Head over to the west coast!

Dairy Aire in central California is a good one too. TCC is the club.

I didn't see XPRS on there with is a big Black rock launch a little before BALLS.

Hellfire, a four day launch on the Bonneville Salt Flats the first weekend in August qualifies as a regional launch.

Yes, OregonRocketry has Northwest Xtreme Rocket Show or NXRS in June.

Dan, you might need to define "major." Is this a launch that averages over 100 registered flyers? Attendees hailing from greater than five states? Must be High Power launch site I assume. N+ impulse flights? Why parameters? I think everyone believes their local regional launch is "major."

Yes, you are right. But if LDRS is there the others should be. The list owner can go whichever way he wants.

This doesn't seem like a good criteria. In most western states you can drive 400-500 miles and still be in the same state. Many counties in western states are bigger than entire states back east.

Southern Thunder
is hosted by MC2 and HARA outside Manchester, TN in June on the weekend of, before, or after Father's Day depending on which weekend the Bonnaroo Music Festival does not occur.

Tim, I'm thinking more than the monthly, one day, club launches. Pretty much any regional or national launch that people would specifically plan for, travel to, advertise, whatever. Being Tripoli, I didn't think of NARAM etc but those certainly could be on the list. I'm thinking HPR but most NAR launches include that now , I think.
I would like the list to be more inclusive.

Tulsa Rocketry Club puts on a 2 day launch every year called High Frontier. We get flyers from all our neighboring states and every year the crowds are getting bigger and bigger. I like that idea. I'm working up a list now!

Airfest Argonia, KS August 29th to Sept. 1st.
Octoberfest Las Vegas, NV Oct. 17th to 19th
ROCstock Lucerne, CA Nov. 8th & 9th

These are the ones we have on our calendar, I will do more research today and add them as I find them. I'm not including our TRA/PHX launches, they are small and local.

I kept looking at the Tripoli website but the calendar was mosty empty, thats why I wanted the list. If you will make a calendar, that's even better.
Most of the clubs don't have 2015 dates posted.

Here in vacation land Florida we have the Bunnell Blast Nov. 8th and 9th. Two day research on Clegg sod farm. 10,000 ft. Waiver hosted by NEFAR there is always a big crowd at this event.
