Recommendations please for the smallest DD altimeter that will fit inside a BT 55 coupler. Don't need anything fancy, just something reliable to get dual deploy in a very small rocket. I am aware a battery could be a problem so an altimeter with other than the standard 9 volt power source is fine.

Thanks

RRC3 is the width of a quarter. Adept 22 can fit in a BT50.

Gary,

The simple Missileworks RRC2+ or Altus Metrum EasyMini might be interesting choices. I've got an RRC2+ that you can try - very inexpensive, and simple deployment option.

I think that small LiPo or LiFe batteries would be options for both.

From what I can tell, BT-55 tubing is about 1.225 inches inside? That big enough for EasyMini (0.8" wide) or even TeleMetrum (1.0" wide), if you want GPS tracking and telemetry :)

For small airframes like this, we have little 160mAh LiPo cells.

Just about any DD controller will fit into a BT55. I have a MD 29mm made out of BT55 with a coupler running all the way through it for strength; a 29mm motor mount fits perfectly inside a BT55 coupler. It's a lot of fun on a G80. I used an Eggtimer, of course, with a 150 mAh LiPo.
