So has anyone used a mellow reload yet and if so can you post a video of it? I saw the CTI videos of them testing but I want to see someone launching one. I want to use one in a MD, but I need more fuel for my dream lol

I saw the G33 a few weeks ago. It was a neat motor and certainly made me want to get my hands on some!

BillSpad flew a J94 last Saturday at the CMASS launch in Amesbury. The motor burned forever. Actually just under 7 seconds. Spectacular.

It was a G33 in a NCR Corporal. On a windy day that would have been a very bad idea but the winds were light. It was a nice slow flight and the motor did seem to burn forever. I've got some crappy cell phone video of it.

What size case is the J94 used in?

Its a 5 Grain CTI, G-Dog flew it last month at MDRA, light to medium wind and it arced over, even dual deploy on a heavy(ish) rocket (Madcow Pike) we lost it in the trees, hopefully recover it this weekend with the help of my DJI Phantom.
It does not have alot of kick off the pad.

My bad. You launched it from High Power C so I assumed it was a J...... Still was a great flight.

I have a G33 on the way..as well as a new J145 Long Burn Skidmark

May have to zap some small eliptical fins on a MMT-1.14, shove a pNut in the nose, and tie a kevlar thread between the closure and the motor case as a old school bridal .

I tried a 29mm G33 in an Estes Ventris today. It was an impressive looking flight. There was a slight weathercock as it left the pad. Someone flew a Mellow just before me and it had a rather major weathercock. It was probably a heavier rocket. Be aware of your weight when you fly with this motor. I had an Altimeter Two on board and it recorded: max alt = 2011', max speed = 163 mph, max acceleration = 5.7g. ave acceleration = 2.1g. Long, slow burn but not a lot of oomph.

If your talking about the MMMSC launch that day then I was there too.

I had one of three flights on the I55 motor. All three had an impressive 7.5s of burn time and all three weathercocked severely into the trees (well mine didn't go at the trees as much as it was in the general direction), it burned horizontally for about 2s. I was able to recover mine and I think one other person recovered theirs. But if you plan on flying a mellow, make sure the rocket is light enough. As a point of reference, my rocket weighs 4.0lbs empty.

Unfortunately, I don't have a video of the flight. My father might, but I need him to give me a flash drive with all the pics/video from that day.

I was curious as to the grain configuration, is it a slot or Bates grain? Thanks

I have the 38-6xl (J125??) in my blackhawk38 ready for Midwest Power. Looking forward to that one more than my big motors.

I flew an L265 last weekend. Nice motor but just a tad underpowered in my Competitor 4. According to the smoke in the onboard video, burn time was nearly 12 seconds as opposed to the 9.9 seconds listed on CTI's website.

And I'm guessing this is you, thanks again for the igniter!

Not a problem, yeah it was a fun flight, but sure was a long walk with all that wind.

My son thought we had a long walk into the canyon when we went the second time... At least our walk was interesting!

Not nearly as far as your last launch, but we had more fun compared to your flat land trek!

We definitely have hiking boots on our shopping list for next launch!

Here is a video of a J94 I found on Utube. It looks great and I am finishing up a rocket just for it.
