Hi all,

I'm assembling my first full J (yea!) the J415. It comes with a multi-throated nozzle with a center and 6 smaller outers. Only 3 of the outers are drilled out. Since the instructions don't tell me to do so, I don't think I should remove the flash from the other 3. Can somebody please confirm this suspicion before I do something really really wrong.

Kevin, that isn't flash but phenolic. The Medusa nozzles are a universal nozzle that Aerotech drills on a as needed basis. DO NOT DRILL ANY OTHER HOLES IN THAT NOZZLE!! BTW that's a great motor!

Jim,

Thanks for the confirmation. Looking forward to watching it fly!

Great motor don't do anything with the nozzle. Flew one this weekend. If you get the chance try the J800 also nice motor.

The J415W is a great motor! It puts off a nice white 3.5 second burn. Here's a few videos I have...

First flight of my 4" FG Darkstar (16lbs / approx. 3k ft.)...
