polypropylene ejection protection

Not sure where else to post this question but it does have something to do with recovery.

I know ejection charges can be quite hot. If a charge is right next to or even inside a polypropylene nose cone, does the nose require some sort of heat protection? If so, what or how would one do that?

Ejection charge is not going go melt the nose cone (duration is too short for that), but it would be a good idea to use wadding or Kevlar cloth to protect shock cord and other components.
