Hello everyone,

I don't know anything about rockets, but I know you guys do. Here's a link to the nose cone: https://imgur.com/a/52HGl . It's 4" at the widest diameter and fairly light (aluminum?). What do you think this might be used on? It may have something to do with Aerojet, the local rocketry guys. I have two other ones that are much darker and without the markings.

Thanks for the help!

Oh, and is there anywhere else that might be interested in this?

I don't think that it's a nose cone. Possibly a nose cone tip for a large high power rocket. Or a spinner for a small airplane.

It was definitely formed by spinning.

No clue about what it's for; not really useful for a nosecone.

The CAGE code for Honeywell is 99193. Honeywell makes a "Turbine Tail Cone" with a part number of 377439:

Honeywell SKU: 377439
NSN: 2835-00-829-5605

CONE,TAIL,TURBINE

Matl:cres per MIL-S-6721, may be brazed per ams 2675, alloy per ams 4777;DIM.: 7.14 in. min and 7.18 in. max lg, 4.16 in. min and 4.19 in. max W

Thanks for deciphering those codes! A turbine tail cone is way more interesting than a prop cone. I really appreciate the help!
