Not sure how many folk here play computer games online (a reasonable number I bet) but a friend of mine is CEO of a computer games company.

Their second game is set in space and there's a public alpha play test tomorrow at 8pm UK time /4pm East Coast US. It's a lot of fun shooting lasers at other people online and blowing them up.

It's completely free, runs in a browser window (no download, no flash, no java) and requires you to provide no info to play (no name, no email address etc.) you just go to the page at the right time and you're in the game. Outside the play test time you can read more info about the game at the same address. You do need a relatively up to date version of IE, Firefox or Chrome browser.

Beware that this game is currently arcade style - not realistic physics.
