My question is would this work as a BG?
It is a "V" tail glider so no vertical stabilizer to re-locate.
Would need some mods to the nose, I think it would work but I would like an expert opinion.
These are full size scans so if you would like to try it please do.

I have the same book. I suspect it would work great!

I have no claims on being an expert. A fast look at the plans and IMHO this design could be modified to be a boost-glider. The nose would need to be modified to accept a pop-pod of your choice. I'd use thinner balsa for the tail feathers to reduce the amount of nose mass required, which together would reduce the total mass. I'd cover the wing and stab with tissue if I wanted to fly it with a B-motor. It would probably handle A motors with no tissue. The fuselage looks very beefy and strong.
