Tis the Season so thoughts turn to all things Christmas.
Haven't done a new Christmas theme Odd-Roc in the last couple years. This year one sort of fell in almost by itself, another dollar store item turned into something just a little different. A childs stick launched Helicopter ring just begged to be turned into a flying christmas wreath. Looking at the green plastic hollow flying disk it just needed a little garland, a few holly sprigs and some glitter. Starting out over 14g I knew it would need to be a micro cluster as well. Enlarging the launch stick hole to fit a pair of T2+ motor tubes and a slightly offset Launch lug completed the conversion.
Almost forget another fun part of this Christmas Holly Wreath is it's LED Lighted. So it is not only a new fun Christmas Theme Odd-Roc it is also a Night flying Odd-Roc.
Next up came an Idea my Better 2/3rds ran across for her ceramic crafting. A bunch of tiny multi-colored Wrapped packages. I grabbed 4 of the little 1" square and 1- 3/8" square packages. They need just a little work to convert into a Christmas Present Stack. Adding wrapping paper covered 1/32" basswood box fins to a T2+ Body tube turned the trick. Because the cubic presents are just wrapped foam about 4g of #9 lead shot was added to the T2 nose shoulder along with the 70lb braided kevlar shockline and 1/4" x 9" Green Teflon streamer.
Sorry I didn't think to take build photos as these just sort of fell together as I went.
