Flyoffs for the US Spacemodeling team were held two weeks ago at NARAM 55. The team which was just picked will represent the U.S. at the World Spacemodeling Championships in August 2014 in Kapuchin Bulgaria.

It is a recent tradition that the nation hosting the World Championship also hosts the European Championship the year before as a kind of practice event for the WSMC. In three weeks the Bulgarians will host the European Spacemodeling Championship.

In the past the U.S. has not sent a team to this event since, well, we're not European. But members of the U.S. team decided it might be a good idea to fly the European Championships as a practice for the Worlds, to learn the field and local flying conditions, etc. So the U.S. is sending a small team to the European Championship this year.

Go Team USA!
