My sons completely stock Ventris ripping off the pad on a CTI H90. Buy it, build it, fly it!

I guess it's not completely stock because he left off the thrust ring so the CTI case would fit:D. But other than that its stock and built as the instructions dictate. Sweet flying bird on an H90 and many other motors!

What kind of altitude did you get on that H90?

Awesome. Your son is a man after my own heart. Fly it high and fly it hard.

You're OK - the instructions say the thrust ring is optional. :)

It is a nice flyer indeed.

Way to go! I haven't worked up the courage to stick even a g in our ventris yet. I'm building a new one with a tracker compartment in the nose cone. then I'll let it rip!

my last launch on a f22 resulted in an altitude of ~1600', which I was suspicious of but two different altimeters reported the same altitude within about 40' of each other. I'm still not sure I believe it.

any idea on the altitude?

edit:

it was a f22 motor, not a f26.

We don't have any altimeter data for the flight. Rocket Calc estimates around 2,600 ft.. Reality is that I gets way up there. Haven't lost site of it yet though so can't be going over 4,000' I would think. Will have to do it again with an altimeter!

I have flown my Ventris twice. Both times it carried an Altimeter Two unit.

Using an AeroTech F50-6T single-use motor it reached an altitude of 1,165 feet.

With an AeroTech F25-6W motor it went to 1,142 feet.

HA! Who says Estes doesn't build HPR rockets?

Thanks for sharing.

that has been what I got with other launches on f26's. I don't believe the 1600'. I just thought it was really strange two different brands of altimeters recorded almost the exact altitude. weird.
