Looking at paint in the store this morning and was wondering if you could use Rust-oleum Engine Enamel with their primer that you would use with other Rust-oleum paints, 2X and their enamel sprays.?They had engine primer right next to the engine enamel.I liked the Chevy Red Orange, thought that would look great on a future rocket. But I don't need another can of primer sitting with the other(10 cans or more of paint)on my shelf.Any thoughts out there?

All I can tell you is I've used it on tailcones and big blunt backends of squatty rockets to protect the bulkheads and body tubes. Works so far. Most the soot wipes off unless the blast deflector is too close then it bakes in to a crispy golden brown.....
