yes....especialy when their rear end is so wide it blocks the isle. They need to charge women like this to shop at WalMart because you can't get buy them and do your shopping.

Nope. I'm lucky enough to go at off-peak hours when I go, which isn't often. Today was my first trip in 2013, and both my son and I were struck by how wrecked the place looked. Like they hadn't recovered from the holidays yet.

Oh, I shouldn't, but what the heck......It's Wal-Mart afterall
1)I hate the shoppers that think that is THEIR store, stop whereever they feel like it, whether it blocks the lane or anything else
2)Hate the fact they start stocking at 9pm at night, and block the isles wherever they can.
3)Went the other night and they had ZERO carts inside the store, yet plenty of people that was sitting around that could have been out rounding up carts
4)Hate the fact that on a Sunday evening they have like 4 lines open, people backed up to the clothes, and the managers don't see/care about it. Get off YOUR a$$ and get some more lines open, if only for a little bit to get people out!
So do I have Wal-Mart rage, hell to the YES! The Wal-Mart close to us is the WORST, I've actually gone to another one when out to keep from going to the one close to the house.

That is why I always use the self check out.

Dude, this Wal-Mart don't have those!!! The Sams Club does, they have a couple with the belts, a couple without. Never fails, some idiots that have no clue what they are trying to check out a buggy full of stuff. Can imagine the words I would be saying at Wal-Mart if they had a self checkout. If I'm really in a mood without much stuff, I'll go back to the electronics and check out there.

Every day I get a bout of RR. at Walmart Since I manage there. I also understand now how people are hit by trains--Darwin at work

My worst was CostCo. They have the 'feeding pens' where people stop to sample everthing. No concept of blocking the entire area with card when they stay, eat, talk, toss out trash before moving on. Once crossing the building took longer than checkout.

They need a feeding area / petting zoo for this.

I seem to find groups of people, all seemingly in the same family, lets all pile in the car and spend a few hours at Wal-Mart Clark! They stop in the aisle to have a pow-wow so nobody can move anymore.
Also in my Wal-Mart I notice the employees are always chattin it up with each other, they could be in the middle of checking someone out and stop to tell so and so that so and so did this and that. There seems to be no incentive to work, lets just hang out for a while. I do see some folks that seem motivated but I estimate they comprise maybe 10% of the staff.

I notice at Target there is none of this, no personal coversations, everyone is working, helping customers. Unfortunatley the WM is close to my house so for a quick trip I have to do WM.

I have witnessed quite a bit of violence in Wal-Mart; saw 2 gals full on throwing punches fighting, one of them had a child with her, have seen a man and woman screaming at each other in the store, they also had a child, a friend had to show his gun to keep from getting mugged in the parking lot.

OK rant over. Serenity Now.

Why not just shop in your local downtown? Wal-mart has ruined small downtown areas across the country . I will never spend another dollar at a Wal-mart. I love my little town and and will spend my little bit of money locally.

I love people so every trip to walmart is a pure joy for me. I get to work on my interpersonal skills. I usually learn a new word or two in a foreign language. You get to meet such neat folks dressed in all kinds of exotic garb. Yep walmart truely is representational of our great society with all of it's diversity and flare.

My only problem with walmart is all of the out of stocks. I go shopping with a list and everytime they end up being out of about 1/4 of the items on my list. It's very frustrating that it keeps happening over and over again. I talked to the big wigs about it one day when they were in the store doing inspections. They told me that the store was under new management and all of those problems would be addressed but that was a year ago and nothing has changed. It's the same ol' same ol' at walmart.

BTW I only go down town to shop if I need an used guitar or a toner cartridge or a payday loan. Other than that there's nothing down there.

I don't waste my time shopping there unless its an absolute must and if I do go I go early when they open and get what I need and get out. WALMART is a complete joke, but I think a lot of the issues you have with people is the area you live in. I noticed when I lived in Murrieta, CA the WALMARTS were well kept and and clean. I never once had any issues, but that was the norm for all the stores in the area. Merchants took pride in their stores and the way they appeared. Shopping at such locations was a pleasant experience.

My wife loves it because it's "cheaper" than the upscale store that is much closer.

I would rather have a root canal than go. I saw a customer start screaming in the check out line recently "You need more clerks!" "You need more clerks!" "You need more clerks!" His family was embarrassed but a lot of folks started clapping! I wish I had a dollar for every time I have heard a Wal-Mart employee ask if it is time for their break yet! When I must go with my wife I am guaranteed to say "this place sucks" as we walk out to the car! Saving a couple of bucks is cannot be worth the aggravation!

My problem with Wal-Mart (and the local K-Mart as well) is that I live in one of the most affluent counties in the nation, and so the majority of the customers in my local Wal-Mart are either pissed-off, depressed, or both - mostly because with all the wealth around them, this place is the *best* they can afford to shop in. Those that can afford Macy's or Kohl's or even Target will drive the extra distance to shop there, and avoid WallyWorld.

I avoid the Blue Store of Depression as much as I can...

G.D.

I think I can explain some Wal-Mart employee attitude issues .I was working part-time at the local Wal-mart in the deli when I got a frantic phone call from my daughter that wife had collapsed at her job and was on the way to the hospital in an ambulance. I notified my area manager what had happened and I left for the hospital. My next shift at work I was called into the office by a bigger manager and "Written up" for leaving work early.Do you think i ever cared again about this crappy little job ?

I was standing in line one time, light on and everything. The girl tried to turn the light off and say she was closed on me.....she didn't know who she was talking to! Told her I wasn't going anywhere because I wasn't going to wait and have to go to the back of another line(something along those lines, this is a family friendly forum).
#5 to my list above: Please have more than 1 tool to open the stupid security boxes you put medication and who knows what else in! It takes the clerks forever to walk to the floor managers area just to use the stupid thing!

In a long line I often call out for another cashier. I just use an authoritative voice rather than an angry or upset one.

In Norfolk, VA the downtown is a financial district so there are no stores there that sell what WM sells. I do frequent my local hardware store when I know they have what I'm looking for. It's hard to beat parking in front of the door, not having to worry about what train-wreck social situation is going down, just folks getting what they need at the hardware store. Also if you have to consult with an employee that option is available.

I do all in my power to avoid Wal-Mart, but I will not take a cart because I become irrational.

I live in an inner ring suburb and my town and several of those around me have no downtown areas. One suburb tore down the entire downtown 15+ years ago and built town homes and a strip mall to replace the downtown.

just curious, has this made your life better or worse?

I WILL NOT go to Wal-Mart(or anywhere else) on Black Friday.....I don't like to be pushed and shoved, and know I'd go postal someone. Best to know my limitations than push them. I'd rather pay the regular price.
