So earlier this year I bought a Sandman X-20 Dynamic Soarer for my Titan IIIE
but I decieded to down scale my pervious X-20 on a Titan II to a BT-60 with two
13mm aka flea engines.

Since I have not yet came across a vendor with BT-60 centering rings for two 13mm(Flea)
I will have to make them myself.

Here's how they came out !

here's a rough view of the Engine assembly
I will make it similar to the K-21 engine mount.

Thats all I have done this weekend more to come !

So I ordered my Rockets of the World, 4th Edition copy !
I'm excited to get it right now it's some where in New
Mexico or Texas.

I've had time to do more of the build
today I also scratch built two parachutes for the rocket

I glued the centering rings to the engine tubes
and I am attempting to add my very first Baffle

I also glued in the engine mount and I realized how
flimsy cardboard gets when humid. but it gets rock
hard when dry.

I also cut out the fins and i taped them on just to see how it would look.

Could I get More information on this project the Air Force had ?

Have you looked in the scale section?? I think I posted some stuff on Dyna-Soar... if not, I KNOW I have some studies that I've gotten from the internet that I intend to summarize and post info from at some point in the future...

If you can't wait, go to NTRS and do a search there on Dyna-Soar... NASA Technical Reports Server (NTRS) has a LOT of great stuff on it! Also, check out the secret projects forum.

Later! OL JR :)

Today I sanded down the fins, and
smooth out the fins with glue

Today I added the nozzles and the struts
they were hard to glue since I dont have
tweezers to work with.

Here's another view !

More to come !

I like them nozzles and struts.
Dont have the #s in front of me..but..is two 13s enough to lift this bird?

Hmmmm....My original was designed for the Deuces Wild, maybe I should offer a BT-70 version.

Thank you !
the nose cone is not heavy I changed my mind before I made it in to a Titan IIIE
an AT10-3 lifts 2.9lbs it has two so its 5.8 pounds of lift power.
