Actually, we were told that black bears are the ones to be the most wary of. Grizzlies may charge you, but if you stand your ground, avert your eyes, talk calmly, and don't act aggressively they will almost always just sniff you and then leave. On the other hand, if a black bear is aggressive towards you it intends to kill you and probably eat you.

Nothing that a 500 Magnum can't solve.

BEAR IDENTIFICATION TIP:
If a bear is chasing you, climb a tree.
If the bear climbs the tree after you, kills you and eats you, it was a black bear.
If the bear knocks the tree down, kills you and eats you, it was a grizzly bear.
If you cannot find a tree because you are on the tundra and the bear chases you down, kills you and eats you, it was a polar bear.

Darwin in action

Only if he didn't have any kids, kids died, or got all his kids killed.

Too many say "Darwin" as a flippant response to tragedy without really THINKING about the fact that if the creature in question already has had offspring that lived, doesn't matter what happens later - Darwinism does not apply.

Also, almost everybody has done something that could have gotten themselves killed.....but were lucky. Heck, Albert Einstein or Wernher vonBraun could have walked in front of a Trolley Car while crossing the street. One bad break and then they'd be ridiculed with "Darwin". Including a lot of people who say that.

Indeed statistically there must be a lot of people who ridiculed other people's deaths by saying "Darwin".... who then ended up dying after they did something not-so-smart. That's Ironicism..... :(

Ever played the board game "Settlers of Cataan", also sometimes simply known as "Cataan"? And traded sheep for wood?

Wild grizzlies really like it when you put honey all over your hand and then let them lick it off. Just ask my friend Stumpy.

In March 2016, the Natural Environment Research Council (NERC) announced that members of the public were being asked to suggest names for the ship. Names previously used would not be eligible, but otherwise it was open to suggestions.[6] Former BBC Radio Jersey presenter James Hand jokingly suggested Boaty McBoatface, a name the public liked, and which quickly became the most popular choice. The NERC stated that they would have the final say, and that the most popular would not necessarily be the one chosen.[7]

Following a public consultation by NERC to use the "#NameOurShip" hashtag, the name attracting the most public support was RRS Boaty McBoatface. As the poll was non-binding, the choice was made to name the ship after naturalist Sir David Attenborough, but also to use the Boaty McBoatface name for one of the craft's underwater vehicles.[8]

A petition calling for Sir David Attenborough to change his name to Sir Boaty McBoatface "in the interest of democracy and humour" soon received over 2,000 signatures.[9]

In response to the poll, the Science and Technology Committee, a select committee of the House of Lords, announced that they were to review the process by which the ship was named. NERC chief executive Professor Duncan Wingham and NERC head of communications Julia Maddock faced the committee on 10 May. Professor James Wilsdon, an outreach director at Sheffield University, told MPs that he voted for "Boaty McBoatface". Despite the controversy, NERC directors felt that their poll was a successful initiative in that it generated a lot of publicity regarding their organisation and research mission among the lay public.[10]

British science minister Jo Johnson later announced that the Boaty McBoatface name would be used for one of the remotely controlled submersibles aboard the ship.[11]

On 12 May 2016, Google released a natural language parser named Parsey McParseface in reference to the boat naming contest, as part of their open-source SyntaxNet neural network framework.[12]

In September 2016, the US Air Force formally named its new stealth bomber currently under development as the Northrop Grumman B-21 "Raider". The name was chosen through a survey of airmen; among the rejected names was "Stealthy McStealthface".[13]

On 5 August 2016, Cartoon Network's long running animated series, Regular Show, released an episode titled "Spacey McSpaceTree".

In 2017 the BBC Three (online) series Pls Like,[14] Liam Williams who wrote and starred, uses the vlogger name "Vloggy McVlogface". Pls Like is a comedy mockumentary about the search for the next star vlogger.

In May 2017, the Hunstanton Sea Life Sanctuary in the UK announced that the first Humboldt penguin chick to hatch in more than a decade had been named Fluffy McFluffyface by the sanctuary staff.[15]

FAIL: Man Who Robbed Bank To Escape His Wife Sentenced To Home Confinement

https://www.kansascity.com/news/local/crime/article155936879.html

Ripple’s story gained national attention last fall when he walked into the Bank of Labor, located a block away from the Kansas City, Kan., police headquarters, and gave a note to the teller. It read: “I have a gun, give me money,” according to court documents.

After the teller gave Ripple $2,924, Ripple sat down in the bank lobby to wait for police, and later told authorities that he had written out a robbery note in front of his wife and told her he would rather be in jail than at home.
