I've used it. It's a lacquer. Don't put it over enamel!

That being said, I've used several different colors with good results. I've found it has relatively low opacity in the red and yellow colors. Multiple coats needed, typical for lacquers like this. Their silver or aluminum or something like that did very well.

I use mostly acrylics (water based) now but I wouldn't hesitate to buy these if there was a color I needed.

And it's usually 'nitro resistant' to 15% if I recall..

Lustercoat is a paint formulated for R/C aircraft use, to match their particular line of covering films "monokote" polyester films. So, you can paint your cowl to match the covered fuse & wing. (the 'glow fuel' used in R/C aircraft has a certain % of Nitro-methane, to help that little engine scream! the nitro eats regular paint..) The alternative to Lustercoat? PPG brand car paint, custom matched to your sample at any 'good' auto parts store or finishing shop, and put in a rattle can for you, for about $25 up here!!

Personally, for the cost, stick with Rustoleum, Krylon, Kilz, Sandoz, etc..
