Opened a nice long package from Giant Leap Rocketry. It contained 48" of 3.9" full length phenolic coupler tubing. I have 3 pieces of 4" cardboard heavy tube and an ACE 4" blowmolded cone, the long one. With the cone inserted and all pieces dry-fitted there's a 6" gap so I will be cutting it down. I do have a piece of BT101 but it's much thinner than the 4" cardboard tubing, I'll be figuring out something different to do with that. I got Totally Tubular centering rings with a 38mm opening, well, it's 29/38mm rings. I have a Roush Tech 38/360 I got out of the Yard Sale Section on it's way here so there's an I161-10 in this rockets future.

Agreed to loan a 75mm CTI case to one of my friends, for his Level 3 flight at AirFest.

We had a captive audience of 167 cub scouts this afternoon. We gave several talks and then launched 5 rockets for them an A, B, C, E and F. They all seemed to enjoy it.

I cleaned out the workshop and put rocket stuff sitting inside the house out in the shop. Gonna try and work on the bulkhead of my new L1 rocket tonight.

Had to hobbylinc some longer delay 24mm motors for the club launch next weekend. A $9 FAT BOY just begs to be modded to fly 24mm. I will let yall know how it goes.

BTW.... I have, for once, nothing going on this whole weekend. It will be a great rocket building weekend for sure.

Printed off one-2-one drawings of my components that I need to drill holes in for my avionics... FAILed to check a box, so the drawings are off-scale and not one-2-one... still more delays.

I put some fillets on my Black Knight, which MIGHT be ready to fly tomorrow, albeit without even wearing a coat of primer.

finished the AFT section of my new G-Force and purchase a canopy a table and few folding chair, so I will be more confortable at next launch

Went to my first CMASS club launch today purely as a spectator, and ended up joining the club :) I got to see some great launches and a few CATOS too. I had a great time although we got there a little later in the day.

At the next launch I'll be there ready to fly!!

While I was there I stopped by and saw Jim Flis and picked up a Night Whisper and a Thunderbird also a Micro Max Honest John and some MMX motors. I could have gone crazy but alas limited funds slowed me down:cry:

Flew a mockup of Bare Necessities on a K1275. Worked as expected except our keychain camera fell off and got lost during boost...

I flew Upward Propensity on an I100 Red Lightning Longburn. It burned all of the way up to apogee. Pretty unique flight profile.

Spent the day in Geneseo at the National Warplane Museum's airshow manning the MARS tent- static display. We had 4 tables stuffed full of rockets, HPR/MPR/LPR/Oddball, motor casings, club and NYPOWER information, a 7.5" x 10'+ rocket on a giant away-cell type pad, and more. Met lots of interested people, talked about the hobby and our club, answered TONS of questions. Hopefully sparked interest in some to come check it out at NYPOWER and/or get into the hobby for themselves or with their kids.

Also got to see a Lancaster bomber fly, escorted by a spitfire and hurricane (6 Merlins at once!) .... crazy aerobatics from Rob Holland, warbird aerobatics- P-51 "Quicksilver", and the Curtiss C-46 Commando. Tomorrow.... more of same!

PS- I made some parts for a customer's rocket, too....

Bought a Cesaroni 38mm starter set. Now I just need to build a 38mm rocket to fly it in.

Going to a local rocket launch!

Also picking up some donations for the club from a friend of a deceased rocketeer. I have no idea what this consists of.

Applied base color coat to Semroc Nike Tomahawk Deci-Scale. Applied primer coat to Estes 1:5.5 Scale Nike Smoke. Photographed 6-7 rockets to post elsewhere.
