Called Chris with Chris' Rocket Supplies to make a last minute order. Taking advantage of his 20% off sale on reloads. I don't even want to think about how much I have spent on propellant over the last month. Special thanks to my wife Sharon for giving me an extra budget to take advantage of this sale.
No sooner had I made the call and the door bell rings. FedEx with a delivery:

It's a shipment from Mike at Bay Area Rocketry. I took advantage of his L-3 special deal on an AT M1297 and Rouse Tech casing with closures for $508.

CAUTION! ROCKET PORN AHEAD....

Very well packed with bubble wrap and pink Styrofoam:

With 75mm reloads, you get the grains in boxes:

Even after all the bubble wrap, the 75/5120 casing has it's own special protection:

This is the last big piece for my L-3 certification attempt at Airfest in TWO WEEKS! :y:

That's $8 more than I paid for my Kosdon the same size 14 years ago. You got a great deal. I'm still saving for the CTI parts I need :p

Ordered another red max to modify for 24 mm, plus an Estes V2, a small altimeter and assorted build supply.

Rocket addiction moving to phase 2 :)

Talked rocket stuff with my dad today (mainly about his rocket).

Ordered stuff from stickershock for our rockets (hoping to have them for this weekends launch)

Ordered some more stuff from wildman.

Talked more rocket stuff with my dad... While at work (don't tell the boss I was texting all day, I pay for rockets with this job!)

Went back to the storage unit today and recovered the 8" nose cone and body tube and some of the other parts to my old NCR Hobgoblin kit. Thinking about building that for a big L2 cert model, maybe.

Found two 42" Loc 5.38" tubes, centering rings and a Loc 5.38" nose cone that I had completely forgotten about over the last 15 years. Will have to do something with that, too.

Primed and sanded my Mini Honest John.

Ordered a Big Bertha (currently half off on Amazon).

Planned a rocket launch for Sunday, where I'm going to race my Crossfire ISX against my friend's.

Got the nose cone to fit on my L2 project (an apogee/Madcow level 2). I got a longer nose cone for it so it now stands 6ft tall. Also drilled holes for the shear pins. Now I need a 2-56 tap...

I scored!

I've been wanting one of these for YEARS...

Cheers,
Michael

Cleaned my Work Area/Bench, then started making up some Adapters so that I can use the 18mm D21 Composites in my 24mm Rockets.

I went to the local Hobby Lobby and bought an Estes PS 2 booster and an Estes PS 2 Ascender. I wanted an easy little project that I can put a composite G in and not feel too bad if I never see it again. The booster is really cool! I also tacked on the fins of my Loc Iris and am about too start the internal fillets.

Finally after 3 yrs I put some paint on my level 2 rocket. It's a scratch built 7.5" Gizmo. I never painted it to begin with because I wasn't sure if the flight was going to be a success. (It was)

I mounted one cabinet door on my new rocketry bench and fitted the second.

It's getting very close to being a completed project. FINALLY!

I put together the rocket track transmitter today. It was a little harder than a Eggfinder but a lot less components.

Using Tape around a Drill Bit, and an 18mm Yellow Spacing Tube, I made a Mandrel that will fit into my 24mm-18mm Adapters.
Now I can get them to be a precise fit to my MMT by spinning them in my Drill Press and using some Sandpaper.:)

All done.
