while perusing the vintage catalogs, i came upon the Coldpower rockets and immediately had a weird flashback.
did anyone ever get one to stage? still have one? thoughts?

I'm pretty sure they came from an outside company named 'Vashon' and Estes bought either the whole company or just the product line. A million years ago I had some Vashon literature... sure it's long gone by now.

Sure do:

Had a bunch of Vashon Valkyrie and later Estes Coldpower rockets when I was a kid. I loved them because they looked really cool, and my parents let me launch them unsupervised. Wish I still had one, but alas they're all long since broken and gone. Not likely that they're gonna come back, since all of the suitable aerosol propellants are either flammable or have their release into the atmosphere restricted because they're classified as greenhouse gases. The patents have all since expired, you can find them with Google... they're pretty fascinating.

I forgot about this launch I did in 2010
