The Athena was one of a number of rockets that I had simply painted white, being both fairly intimidated by decals back in the day and not into sport motifs. A few weeks ago I decided to do a little overhauling with a roll pattern and nose cone painting, as well as decals from an old plastic Ford Tri-Motor kit.

During the summer I do a lot of small-field launching, so I was looking for a lightweight craft and saw an Athena up for grabs online. I've since retired my original, so I bought it and worked up a slightly different motif. The tail numbers come from my old Ford Tri-Motor kit, while the UNITED STATES was taken from a Terrier-Orion that was never completed.
