    V. Hoag's 1/9 Saturn 1B

Vern Hoag was gracious enough to bring his monster 1B out to Bong Recreation Area this past Saturday for display, I thought I'd share a few pic's. Space became short around the craft throughout the day, so it was tough to get a lot of it into frame all at once - the size of the rocket was no help either! This thing is surely a sight to behold, a museum piece no doubt. Enjoy the photo's, thanks again Vern.

    Wow!

That could be used in an Apollo 7 movie!!

All right, Mr. DeMille, she's ready for her close-up.

How could anyone find the time to put in so much detail? Also, someone has to be extremely competent to risk such beautiful model in an actual flight. It makes good sense to take it to a meet and lot fellow modellers look at it.

    Very nice model! Excellent workmanship!

It would be neat if it staged all the way through the LES! That would be something to see!

    Spare no detail....LOL
We got two categories of pilots around here. We got your prime pilots that get all the hot planes, and we got your pud-knockers who DREAM about getting the hot planes.
Now what are you two pud-knockers gonna have?... Huh?”

Got to see it fly at Higgs field last year (year before?). Looked awsome going up. Made me sick when it come apart. Glad to see Vern was able to effect a rebuild.
