So, Those of you who were alive 12/31/69 where were you?
I was in my home in my bed, sleeping, awaiting for 1970 and the first Earth Day!

The convention of storing time values as the number of seconds since Jan 1, 1970 is a Unix thing, not a mail client/server thing.

Yes. And most mail servers run on some form of Unix. But, even programs that run on other operating systems, such as Windows, often use Unix-style time stamps.

Vague memories of 1969 but I'm pretty sure I couldn't have cared less about Earthday. A more likely concern was which Jonny Quest rerun was going to be on next Saturday or What the Banana Splits would be up to. Drooper just cracked me up.

I hear ya!!!! Saturday morn cartoons---the real ones ,and Hot Wheels! Go out later and play army and get all scratched up and usually fall down a hill or out of a tree and think you broke something but you made it home! Damn , those were the days

Sounds like most of my life... Get up and watch cartoons, play army (later on get paid for it), and tinker with hotwheels (later on it was Harley's and now rockets) I even had two Dukes of Hazzard Hot Wheels cases for my cars.

Lets see - Dec.1969 I was at Keesler AFB in tech school.

Dec 1969 I was living at Elmendorf AFB, Anchorage Alaska in elementary school!! This is the place I fell in love with rockets! Very fond memories!

Tried to find my old home on Google maps, but yeah, that was a lifetime ago all right!

I was three years and two months old then. Don't remember squat from that time period. You'd think I'd remember Christmas??!!!
Huh, not that I think about it, I'm tryin to remember what my earliest memory actually is.................
Boy! This hurts. Too much work. Better stop thinkin and go build a rocket!

Hmmm... wasn't even a stain on the mattress at that point... LOL I wouldn't be hatched for another 1 year, 2 months, and 29 days... or thereabouts... Lemme see... the lil wifey was 2 years, 5 months, and 7 days old at the time...
