    Estes Pro Nike Smoke FINISHED!

Just put the finishing touches on my Nike Smoke. I kind went another way with the color scheme, a little more military. Stickers are by Stickershock of course. Its stock other than the rail buttons and 12 feet of kevlar shock cord plus I will opt for a fire blanket. I had a few paint glitches that got past the tape but for the most part it turned out good.

What sort of detail do you get in the nose cone and fins? I couldn't tell for certain, but the fins look like they have a double diamond airfoil.

TA, that looks incredible. Awesome job; love the scheme!

For the rail buttons, did you just add a few washers under the button to get them away from the airframe enough to clear the cone?

The nose cone has some nice detail to it. And the fins have the diamond foil, Its a nice kit. I mounted the kevlar shock cord to the motor mount through the forward centering ring. That was the only major mod I made. I did add two small wood blocks to support the rail buttons. And I had to pick up two small 1/16 inch nylon washers to use as stand off's to get the rails tall enough to get past the nose cone.

Excited to fly mine tomorrow. Going on a 2 grain Skid or Smokey... Should go about 1300 feet. This kit was such a great build. Kudos to Estes. My only modification was attaching the shock cord to the motor mount and centering ring.

I like the fact that the fins have the diamond airfoil shape myself ,a nice touch as well as the NC hatches.

I am thinking of pulling the trigger on one of these how are the plastic fins holding up? I have had problems with other estes plastic fins losing there shape after time.
