    Curiosity and Descent Hardware Spotted On Martian Surface | Video

    The Mars Science Laboratory rover, sky crane, parachute, backshell and heat shield were snapped from above by the Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter (MRO). The image was taken 24 hours after landing.

    OMG that is so rad! I'd always wished for a huge telescope to see the landing sites on the moon. If we do find life on Mars, we may expect a ticket for littering! (excuse me, is that your skycrane parked in the handicapped crater??..sign this...)

    We tried up here with a 36" F4 Newtonian. Couldn't do it (altho' we could make out the tracks of the Lunar Rover's if the sun was at the right angle).
    Plays with wood, cardboard, and carpenters glue at home.

    L1 will have to wait until 2013. Oh well.......patience is a lost virtue any-ways...
