    Estes Renegade

I've been scratch building so long now I almost forgot how much fun and challenging a good kit is.I purchased a estes renegade yesterday and man all those fins and pods.I'm not quit done with the build yet but it's getting there not to mention this is the first renegade I've built.I clipped the engine hook back a little just in case I feel like putting in a 24mm reloadOK I think it's time to go back up front and glue a couple of more fins on.Click image for larger version.

I got this much done this wkend.Painted it with krylon midnight black metallic.I'm kind of liking those metallics I have cobalt blue also a little tlc and some decals then up she goes. The one in the background is another tube fin,had some BT-80,nc and BT-60 left.Seeing how it 's my first Renegade I thought it came out decent, and I thought the last Harpoon I did had a lot of fins.Click image for larger version.

Finally finished my Renegade.I really envy all the people that have builds with a gazillion fins on it.I'm starting to like all the krylon metallics.Maybe I'll pick up some D12-5's this week and give it a test flightClick image for larger version.

Looks great! This is a great flying rocket, I love mine. Advice - bring some CA with you if you want to fly it more than once. Mine has never landed without popping a fin.

Have flown mine several times and never had a problem popping a fin yet, of course it always seems to find the perfect soft grassy spot!

Now the pods, I have popped each one off at LEAST twice, but that is usually in transit home or just moving it around in the house!! LOL
