Hey guys,
Got a question for you regarding balsa nose cones....
I have a few Semroc cones with nice pointed tips and I would like to keep them that way....what is your secret for keeping balsa cones from losing their pointy-ness?

Soak the tip with thin CA glue, it will dry hard as a rock.
dang....of course! Not sure why I never thought of that...but I thank you!
+1 for sealing the entire nosecone (except the shoulder) in thin CA. Buff with 150-220 grit sanding sponge that conforms to the shape, which removes the now hard fuzzies. Then I use eithe CWF or spot putty to fill grain. Sanding it is easy then because the CA-sealed wood is quite resistant to deformation by sanding.
