    Estes Leviathon

So after looking at it a few times, measuring the base tube (for those who don't know, this kit comes in two body tubes) I have decided to convert my Estes Leviathon into a 4 cluster 29mm rocket. I'm probably going to glass it to add weight, add a little nosecone weight, wrap it tip to tip (all glass 6oz) and assemble the 4 motor tubes and fins as a fin-can assembly to slide it into the rear tube. The end state is to have a stout, weighted cluster rocket to keep flights lower and be able to fly this beast without needing electronics onboard and still being stable.

First flight for simpicity sake will be on 4 Aerotech G77Rs.

If you all haven't built any yet - these are nice kits. Very nice to modify and you get 40% off with your daily coupon at Hobby Lobby ^.-.

Keeping an Estes rocket low on 4 G77's...? You may need some dense weight, maybe laminate the airframe in lead.

Well, by "low" I wasn't really meaning literally low, just low-er. lol.

I am estimating around 3500ft - depends on final weight.

Sounds about right... Looking forward to the build.

Thanks! I'm with MC2 so I'll be bringing it out to fly in the near future. I flew my Viper III last week, very smooth flight/recovery. I debated on the 29ss but decided just to modify the Leviathon instead.
