    MDRA July

Who all is going to be at MDRA this weekend? I am bringing my oldest daughter and we have a ton of MPR stuff to put up. Also planning to try to get in my L2 test and flight if I get an answer back from anyone that a test would be available Sunday.

I'll be there for sure on Saturday (RSO duty). I'm not sure about Sunday. I do have the answer key so I can check your test if I'm there Sunday. There are enough of us that are NAR L2 and higher to witness the flight. Problem is administering the written. I have no copies. I know our regular NAR test administrater is out of town. Sealed test packets can be obtained directly from NAR HQ but I think they Need a 1week lead time. I'll make a couple of calls when I get home Tonight (working 2nd shift). OK if I PM you tomorrow with what I can find?

Absolutely Troy, that would be awesome thank you. If not it isn't a big deal, I can do it at another launch.

I wanted to come to this one, but finances don't permit: trying to finish my L2 project. September or October is probably when I'll be able to come back down...

    Later!

PM'ed with Troy, will be doing my L2 written and flight tomorrow. Just going to use the Gizmo on a J1055 VMAX. We should be there right around 9.

Nice L2 flight, James. Gotta love a big Vmax motor. Here's the one shot I managed to catch of it.

Man, look at that flame outta that VMAX! Any time the flame is longer than the rocket, it's a good day

    Congrats on the successful L2!

Nick / Jeff- Thanks. Did learn a lesson to trust my instinct over a sim though when it comes to delays... Was about 3 seconds too long.

I almost used a J1520 in it the other day. Boost will not be quite as straight but I think the next flight on this thing will be with a J360. It is just begging for a skidmark.
