    iPhone Wind Gauge and Compass

    Wind Gauge and Compass

Wind Vane is an iPhone application that uses the phones GPS to show actual wind direction and speed from NOAA. Regardless of where you are or which way you are facing, the gauge will show you which direction the wind is coming from and at what strength. The application is only .99 cents and I think it would be well worth it to know the current wind conditions in order to protect your investments.

Here is a link with screen shots and more info on the application.

CodeStork is a husband and wife team creating iPhone and iPad applications. Wind Vane is already popular in RC Flying circles and we believe it would be beneficial to your members as well.

We can be reached at codestorkwv@gmail.com

    Wirless Rocketry

Hey guys, just wanted to put some info out there in case you are interested. This is a great home-built gadget! Works great with standard model rockets. Check out the link and you can catch a video of it in action. My dad makes these individually on his spare time and I wanted post on a forum to help him promote the product. Leave some questions or remarks on the 'Contact Us' section of the website and provide some feedback as to what you think. And if you really like the gadget you can order from the same page.

    Thanks!

I recently released an app on the Apple App Store named Rocket Calculator. It's supported on iPhone, iPad and iPod touch.

The Rocket Calculator app is a suite of tools often needed in rocketry. These calculators are especially useful at the launch site, or for pre-launch planning.

    Kevlar Line Available for Sale

I have braided Kevlar line for sale in natural yellow and green. Please visit my web store at http://kevlarstore.webs.com/home.htm if you are interested in samples or if you need any lead line for your launches.

The yellow spools consist of 12 ends of 200 denier (very fine) Kevlar. The break strength is about 100 lbs, and each 2oz package contains about 540 feet. (although my packages are running about 2.25oz to 2.5oz, which will actually yield 600 to 650 feet, but I advertise that you'll receive a minimum of 540 feet).

The green spools consist of 8 ends of 200 denier (very fine) Kevlar. The break strength is about 70 lbs, and each 2 oz package contains about 760 feet. (although my packages are running up to 2.5oz, which will actually yield up to 900 feet, but I advertise that you'll receive a minimum of 760 feet).

Soon, I'll have the yellow in 8 ends and the green in 12 ends. Please stay posted and shoot me an email or visit the "Contact Us" page if you want to be on a mailing list. (Of course I will not share your contact information with anyone).

Don't hesitate to make a post or shoot me a personal email with any questions or concerns. Thank you for your interest!!

I get the impression that a lot of TRF members haven't seen the new web site.

    Waterslide decals and more!

I have a whole bunch of Estes Fliskit and some SEMROC kits left as well as some OOP Estes kits on the site.

Hmmm, I thought I had already replied to this thread but I don't see it. Maybe I'm just thinking of the old TRF site.

In 2003 we opened the Squirrel Works site with four model rockets and the dream of producing the kind of kits that make memories.

Over the years, quality material, precision workmanship and uncommon designs, have helped us carve a special place in the rocketry community. One we hope to continue to share with our growing list of clients for many years to come.

My name is Trevor Langfield and I'm the Managing Director of a Nitrous Oxide performance company. I think & hope my post is within the rules and apologise if that's not the case for some reason.

    My purpose for posting here is as follows;
We've had a number of customers from the Rocket fraternity purchase some of our products, so I thought I'd bring them to the attention of a larger number of people in this field, to see if there is any larger scale interest in them.

The main items we are asked to supply are our nitrous Pulsoids (solenoids designed to be pulsed for progressive delivery), our Safe Pressure Relief Valves (an automatic pressure maintenance valve) and more recently our REVO which is a Rotary Electronic Variable Orifice that can be radio controlled to deliver whatever flow rate is required. All these items can be supplied for and used with most media used in anything up to high end rockets.

If anyone would like further information on any of these products please feel free to visit our website http://www.noswizard.com/ and use our contacts page if you'd like personal assistance in any regard.

Thank you for your time and interest.

    Trevor Langfield

My name is Aaron, and I have recently founded a company manufacturing model rocket kits in the United Kingdom (Infinite Void Ltd.). Currently we are the only manufacturer of amateur rocket kits in the UK, and I would be keen to start getting some user feedback on our rockets. Our unique selling point is that our rockets are modular (propulsion, payload bay, electronics, recovery, and nose cones) with a common interface... like Lego. We are just getting started, but hopefully with the support of the community we can start to grow.
