One thing is for certain, I always return a rocket to original owner if I can find them. I am batting 100% at this time.

We know you are. You gotta learn to chill out man. If you spent as much time honing your building skills on LPR kits and scratchers as you do on this forum you'd probably find that when you did have the money to build MPR & HPR rockets that you'd be well-prepared.

Gary's take is how most people are seeing your comments. You're certainly not going to get any help at all from anyone if people think that you're grave-digging.

Well the farmer who's field we fly in has his migrant work force walking up and down the rows pulling weeds from the crops. that make for a fairly good search. I walked the corn yesterday from the pads to gully, did a tree top scan for tree bound rockets around the field and in what we call scruff and found zip. I also created a lost and found flyer with my phone number and the email address on it offering rewards for the Larger ones. those were hand delivered to the local farmers who have kids and put in mailboxes up west swamp road and hung one in Smugglers corner (Shannon has been quite helpful in alerting the locals) I have contacted a tree recovery crew they want $30 an hour, they live 1.5 hrs away and would like to have more than one rocket to snatch out before making the trip. so far we have 1 Confirmed stuck in a tree.

Well, I just got back to chicago yesterday. I want to thank the landowners for being extremely helpful in returning rockets. I got a call yesterday from the landowner at 1270 East Swamp Rd, he had found my rocket "Carbon Nightmare 2.5". I couldn't thank him enough and will be sure to give him some sort of small reward. My Grandmother lives in that area and will be picking it up tomorrow.

Someone mentioned what we are going to do with unclaimed found rockets.
Next year we will have an auction of sorts with the proceeds used to purchase RTF mod-rocks and motors for out outreach programs!

First and foremost, all found rockets will be given the absolute best effort to get back to the original owner. No rockets will be given to someone who just wants them because the original owner didn't claim his or her rocket. After one year we will auction off any found rockets at our next Muck fest in July, 2013. Same with various parts too. All proceeds will go into the host Clubs bank account to be used to promote this great and safe family hobby. This way if you didn't claim your rocket, it and the proceeds gained from auctioning it off will be put to a good rocketry use.

Any update on the corn situation? Has it been cut yet? Any farmers cussing as they pull rockets tangled up in the combine?

Rich, Last I heard the crops have been harvested. They also said hunters are setting up their blinds so the more people in the woods the better!

    Reposting for the URRG BOD.

    Search party on Dec 15

Hi all, in the wake of LDRS we still have quite a few missing BFR's in the woods on the northern side of the field and behind the town of Potter. We are hoping to get a search party together to spend an hour or 2 (Trust me this should not take long the leaves have fallen) we just need to walk threw. If there is anyone from Buffalo wanting to help but not drive contact Bill Clune at 716-444-8000 we can carpool. Afterwards we can get together for lunch at Smugglers and Shoot the breeze.
If you have a handheld GPS that can take way points please bring it. Bill Clune has a Magellan but has no clue how to use it.

Hope to see you all Soon
