ID:	90415UPDATE-BEATER WAS FOUND. It was returned to urrg at the April 2013 launch. Good luck to the others in this thread - there is hope!

On Saturday morning, I lost the rocket in the picture attached, Beater, on it's 93rd flight.

It has a Perfectflite HiAlt45K and a gold Kosdon 29-250 case in it.

It was last seen descending under a green drogue chute beyond the trees to the left of the science channel tent. It may be right in those trees or in the fields beyond in the tall grass at the field edges, or in the water back of the parking area. The main chute is orange but was not seen to deploy. I managed to lose my lowest flight at LDRS.

Please let me know if it turned up,

    Thanks,

    Scott Tyrrell

Damn Scott! I didn't attend LDRS XXXI, but thought about a lost and find thread about 6pm est.
I lost my level 1 flight with a Gary 240 motor at LDRS 15....never heard about it again due to no real LOCAL residents..Orangeburg was just a spot for most southerners and unless SuperSod found it on the field it was finders keepers in the tree line.
A 250 Original Gold Frank is reason for concern.
I hope those Western New Yorkers get a HUGE Beef on Weck sandwich and go hunting for the masses...just because it's the right thing to do.
In Orangeburg I would gladly use up two to 4 hours looking for peoples Rockets...Tom Binford never could stay on the field.

I think a lost in found forum is a great idea for LDRS or otherwise.

My rockets usually fly naked. If they survive, they earn their paint.

Come fly with ROSCO or ICBM in Orangeburg SC => http://rocketrysouthcarolina.com

Someone lost a very nicely done BadAzz rocket. Not sure of the model, however this one is a work of art. PM me with a full description and we can work out the details of you getting it back.

My friend's daughter lost a rocket on Saturday, and asked me to post this for her.

The rocket was a purple and gold Wildman Dark Star Jr., named "Panda-Monium". Had a CTI 3G 38mm case and a 30" purple/yellow CATOchute attached. Launched late in the day on Saturday. Rocket went up into the clouds, and we heard the event but never caught sight of the rocket coming down. Winds at the time were blowing toward the left side of the fields, but we never found it after a lengthy search.

If anyone finds it, it will REALLY make her day, and save her memory of LDRS for this year. Please PM me here on TRF if you have any info. Thanks!

Here is the copy of the email I sent to LDRS31 organizers' lost And found email address:

    Dear LDRS Organizers:

Lost a LOC Vulcanite H76 model on Sunday July 15, 2012 at the end of the day at around 5:30pm. It was launch on a H73J-M. It is painted white with two purple stripes and a purple nose. The length is 54 in, 2.3 diameter, and three fins. Unfortunately, despite the numerous successful flights, there was a separation of the nose cone/payload section from the lower booster section. Not sure if the old style epoxy nylon cord anchor final gave out or perhaps because of my weariness I forgot to attached the bridle to the payload section.

Nevertheless, I had a line on both parts. The purple nose cone on the white payload section with a 18 inch black and green Cato Chute drift due east from the LCO table into the taller corn field just in front of the water sprinklers that were running at the time. Me and my daughter looked for about an hour up and down the rows with no luck. The payload section has a PerfectFite Atk 15 rev2 in it. The payload section with the nose cone is 19.5 inches long.

The booster was seen falling much closer to the pad at a southeast angle from the LCO table about half way to the curve in the access road by the large tree. Thought it was going to be an easy find, but even the low corn rows were obscuring the vision. Looked for about 45 minutes but lost day light. The booster section is 34.5 inches long. It has a 38/240mm Dr. Rockets motor casing in it retained by a Aeropac retainer.

Thanks for a great weekend and thanks for allowing me to post my lost rocket.

    James Shattell

They turn all of them over to me after 6 months of "NO CLAIM".

Then I sadistically dissect and re-assemble them into "FrankenRockets" which are further tortured by huge motors and flights they were never intended to do. If one happens to survive, I set it free to wander aimlessly for years searching for home which is nigh on impossible, since I have lobotomized any electronics already.....heh....he...heh!!#$%@$
