Its going great, a little on the hot and dry/dusty side but great.

Lots of spectacular flights and several spectacular failures (catos, early deployments, etc).

My favorite flight today was Burl Finkelstein’s HUGE V2.

Haven't had a chance to take too many pics, but it's been going great. The weather is hot, but the winds haven't been too bad. We had a weather front come through about 4pm today and the field shut down a bit early. Discovery Chanel is on site and filming (although I don't think Kari Byron is here yet). The Gizmo XL drag race this afternoon was fun, but I have NO clue who won.

Here's a pic of my Ludicrous Speed (3" Wildman DD) on a CTI K454 skid just before the weather moved in.

Not too many flights Thursday but, quite a few more on Fri with allot of >12k flights.
I shredded my I5 on an M 2300 but acted more like an M 3200 just as it went mach ( wasn't suppose to happen).
I flew my Blue Falcon on a 4 grain L 1430 motor to 14k or so I think. I still have to track it down.

I still have to download the few pics I took Fri.

    Here's a pic from Thurs.

    JD,

Thanks for posting the IRIS launch photo. Was it flown in 2-stage configuration? Whose rocket?

BTW, I sent Bob Brown with strict instructions to look you up and say "Hey"! I couldn't make the trip to NY this go 'round, but like to cross paths with you some time. Do you ever make the trek to BALLS?

This is Jerry O'Sullivan's IRIS. Yep, it is 2 stage. IIRC, the booster is a cluster of 9 motors.

I finally have a stable internet connection at where I'm staying...
I hope I'll be able to find my rocket.

2 more pics from Thurs. First one is of my I5 before it came apart
The second is Jerry and team loading the Iris.

Was that a very large black rocket with a 4 motor cluster?

If so, it folded in half about 150ft off the pad.

Couldn't have been. Clusters aren't allowed for a L3 cert flight.

I am sure people did but here is his thread on his L3 rocket: http://www.rocketryforum.com/showthr...-project/page2

The rocket that folded was "Anima Mundi" I believe. Again, check the threads for that one.

Again, not there so this s just based on what I've read today.

    Here's another pic from Fri...
    My 4" Blue Falcon on an L1410 Pink Carnation 4G 76mm ~4600Ns
    Weighed 22.4lbs on the pad.
Found it today in a tree about 7ft from the ground.
All had to do was a swift tug and the tree released the rocket.

    Raven reported 13,867ft 1170 fps.

The report I got from him is that the flight went perfectly this time. He should have some good video to put up on his website when he gets back.

My entry was a bit slow coming up to pressure and by the time it started to climb out there was so much smoke I couldn't see it.

Someone said that two of the rockets collided on the way up.
