I decided that the next big rocket I would be getting would be a Gizmo. I downloaded a Rocksim file from EMRR and decided to ditch the idea of the stock nosecone bulkhead, since A)it doesnt allow for long motors B)it leaves very little room for the recovery system C)there isn't any way to add remove nose weight. My solution was to add a 54mm tube in the tip of the nose cone, and to have it secured by two rings. A bulkhead that rests over the top of the tube would be removable by screwing/unscrewing it into the ring closest to it. The bulkhead would have a long machine screw secured to it, so washers can be added/removed and held on buy a nut. In addition, the bulkhead can be removed to fly VERY long motors, since the nose weight would not be needed.
That is my thinking. Does the idea seem sound?performance_rocketry_gizmo.rkt
