    Phoenix AIM-54A Started

    Today I start building the Wolverine Rocketry
    Phoenix 51AM
    on my blog at:

    This is a 2.6" dimaeter model standing 30"tall.

    Special focus will be on sanding the tapers in the fins.

    I was just looking at this kit at apogee rockets! Looks pretty cool, I love the U.S. Military themed rockets like the patriot.

    Looks like a neat kit! Looking at the link you posted, it says 350ft on a D12. I'm thinking this one would be an excellent candidate for 24/40 reloads. Sure would go a lot more than 350ft if you put an F24 or an F39 in it! (EDIT: I see you already mentioned that. )
    I have found myself building more and more scale and scale-like rockets recently. Unfortunately, there is only so much you can scratch build without specialty nose cones... I'm thinking maybe a Semroc or BMS order is in my future.
