When I go to a launch, I want to get there fast. What makes me drive fast is..........................................Foo Fighters!!!
I normally listen to a lot of YES, Floyd, Zepp, and Older Genesis because I am a product of the 60's and 70's, but Foo Fighters downright wakes my butt up.

I think something to suggest you're a dangerous lunatic who should not be let within 50 miles of any high-power experimental rocket launch is in order. Maybe some heavy metal rendition of neutron strikes of a Geiger-Muller tube from a radiaton source in the trunk sent through a glass of beer as a resistor and played via plasma speaker resting precariously on your dash would do perfectly at this task.

On the other hand, if you're just an average lunatic, maybe the theme song to the Wiggles.

Alright. Some stuff I dig when I am on the way to fly:

Anything by the Minutemen, esp. classic album "Double Nickles on the Dime". Though not on this CD, my favorite lyric is "Here comes the line...I'm loaded with rocket fuel."

Dead Moon out of Portland, OR.

    Social Distortion, 90's era.

    Cake.

    Neil Young and Crazy Horse.

    Yes, I can be odd.

Much of what is listed above, plus Tom Lehrer, "Wierd Al" Yankovic, Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, and Charlie Daniels Band.

Oh, and David Bowie a.k.a. Ziggy Stardust!

Django Reinhardt is great driving music or for Saturday mornings in the fabrication shop.

Next choice is Janis Joplin. She has such depth and soul.

I usually listen to talk radio going to a launch, you know, to keep my mind sharp, but going home is when I put on the music! Pink Floyd's Division Bell to relax with followed by Stevie Nick!

    Interesting...

So what is the best music for driving to an LPR launch?

And for that matter, what is the best music for going to the grocery store?

Exactly how *do* you pronounce perchlorate?

    And what about Naomi?

Do a search for "Love of Chair" - "...and what about Naomi?" was always the final question posed at the end of every episode.
