The Raven was the sustainer motor (or only motor in single stage versions) of the Skylark sounding rocket. The Cuckoo and Goldfinch were different booster motors - my two-stage model depicts a version with the Goldfinch. (Actually it depicts the Skylark 12 seen here which was apparently a three-stager, but I can't figure out where the second stage is, and anyway the model is heavy enough with enough nose weight to balance just one booster!)
Don't just stand there, get one up!
Yes, conical nose cone.

Consider the "Hawk Motor Test Vehicle", as seen in Peter Always' excellent book, "Scale Bash".
It looks "totally bitchin' " as the kids used to say.

I had one using the Estes BT-55 11 degree conical......it was a good flyer & good looking......lost it doing a wind test for a TARC team. I'm planning a bigger replacement.
