    Conical nosecone--need ideas...

In conjunction with a recent purchase, I am looking for ideas from all you history/aerospace buffs out there... Besides the Black Brant, what are some famous/cool rockets/missiles that utilize conical nosecones?

Not Scale but here's my Scratch designed HELLFIRE in 4" & 6", A 7.5" would look awful purdy.

Yep, have a 4" in my build pile, but yes, was looking for a scale of sounding rocket or missile.

Skylark, a British sounding rocket. Here's my scale model in both single stage and two stage configurations.

Thanks, yes, I did see that and it is a possible choice. In looking up info on the Skylark program, I saw a related rocket, the Raven shown below. Does anybody have scale/marking info on the Raven (British program not the Raven of US origin)? Although looking back at post #8, are they actually one in the same?

Actually I like the WAC Corporal and the Black Brant II, but I have another constraint... I have this little piece of hardware lying around that I also want to use on this build. Unfortunately the WAC Corporal and Black Brant II have tailcone tapers that would negate its use.

Possible, but it looks more like a 3:1 cone, versus a 5:1.

Consider the "Hawk Motor Test Vehicle", as seen in Peter Always' excellent book, "Scale Bash".
It looks "totally bitchin' " as the kids used to say.

I had one using the Estes BT-55 11 degree conical......it was a good flyer & good looking......lost it doing a wind test for a TARC team. I'm planning a bigger replacement.

That is a nice looking rocket.

I've pretty much decided on a 2/3rds scale Sonda-2B sounding rocket though.
