    Saturn V LES markings?

I am trying to ascertain whether there were any markings or insignia on the flight Saturn V launch escape system.
A small Lockheed insignia is visible on prototype systems but am unsure as to whether this was on the Saturn v flight vehicles.
The display Saturns at Huntsville KSC and Houston have been repainted and as far as I can see have no markings but are probably not a reliable source.
I discovered this excellent forum whilst researching the above and would be very grateful for absolutely any help.
    With many thanks.

I don't think there are, but I'm not 100% sure... if there are, they'd be barely visible at just about any reasonable scale for a flying rocket...
Here's who to ask... if anybody knows about Saturn V details it's John Pursley... Check out his website on the Saturn V's at http://www.accur8.com/ He's a member of our club and is the former editor of "American Spacemodeling" magazine (the NAR magazine before it became "Sport Rocketry"). His knowledge of the Saturn V is SO extensive he was hired to assist in the restoration of the real Saturn V's on display in both Houston and Huntsville, Alabama. If anybody would know about LES markings, he would.

Good luck with your project! OL JR

+1 to what OL JR said. John Pursley is the man.

    Another resource is David Weeks.

    LES markings

Thank you for the very kind replies,
I have the David Weeks drawings and they are superb, also I may contact Mr Pursley as suggested however wouldnt wish to be intrusive.
    His site is also excellent.
Yesterday evening I perused the Apollo Image Gallery and on the Apollo 8 page noticed what I believe may be markings and almost certainly the Lockheed insignia just above the tapered base of the LES, and have attached a file.

It is correct that generally they probably wouldnt show that greatly but maybe say with the Apogee Saturn V it might be a nice touch.
Also with the markings on the CSM having been well covered I would like to add to my upper stage knowledge.
    Again many thanks

Cool, I never knew that! Thanks for posting, I learned something new today. (Which is especially impressive since it's only been "today" for 32 minutes... )
I would think your rocket would have to be at least 1/50th scale or larger for these to even be visible, but you might be able to pull it off on the Apogee model, even if it was just one of those cool details to impress your friends with.
Can I assume that you are building/are about to build a relatively large scale Saturn V? If so, well, we love pictures!
